Some information on our beef shares and answers to frequently asked questions:

You can reserve a quarter, half, or a whole beef.

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your beef share, and full payment is expected before you pick up your meat at the processor. The deposit is $100 for a quarter, $200 for a half, and $400 for a whole beef.

Please be aware that these reservations are made months in advance, as we have to book early with the processors in order to get in. We take care of transport to the processor. Once we have the weight of your beef, we will invoice you for payment. The processor will contact you to get your cut preferences and let you know when your meat is ready for pick up. At that time, you will pay the processing fees (estimated $140 quarter, $275 half, $550 whole).

We accept cash, check, and card payments. There is a 3% discount for cash payment.

Our beef is $3.00/hanging pound. As every beef varies a bit on weight and size, there is no way of telling you exactly what you will be getting. We have created lists of what you will get on average, but you may end up with a little more or a little less of certain cuts. You will be charged per pound of your actual beef, so your price may also vary some from the average.

When you make a reservation for a beef share, you will be given an estimated processing date. Your meat will be ready for you to pick up from the processor about 2 weeks after that date, because it is aged before being packaged. We will keep you updated as to when to expect to pick up and which processor you will be picking it up from. When you arrive at the processing location, make sure to have coolers/boxes with you to transport your meat. It will be frozen and need to stay that way.

We will provide you with an estimate on how much freezer space you will need to have available. We do not have the space to store your beef for you and will not pick it up from the processor for you. Please be aware that due to the pandemic, freezers are on back order in most stores so you will need to order yours ahead of time.
